Blessing of the Home during Easter Season

Bless our Home and All Who Enter It is an ancient custom to bless the homes of the faithful at Easter. It is a simple blessing, not the full blessing of a new home. It may take place any time during the Fifty Days of Easter (Easter Sunday thru Pentecost Sunday) and it is an excellent opportunity for the family to come together in your homes to celebrate.

Begin with a greeting: "Peace be to this house, and to all who dwell in it." Continue with the Blessing that follows below. Then sprinkle the house and the people with some of the baptismal water that was blessed at the Easter Vigil. The service concludes with the exchange of the Sign of Peace, the greeting which the Risen Lord gave to his disciples in the Upper Room on the first Easter.

BLESSING Lord, we rejoice in the victory of your Son over death: by rising from the tomb to new life he gives us new hope and promise. Bless all the members of this household and surround them with your protection, that they may find comfort and peace in Jesus Christ, the paschal lamb, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen You may collect the Holy Water from the Church After Easter Sunday. Fr. Cannio and Fr Steny are available if you wish to bless your Home. Contact the Parish Office.

Walkathon 2022

We're thrilled to bring back the St Edmunds annual Walk-a-thon!

Our spring walkathon is our largest student-led fundraising event. Students will be collecting pledges from supporters like you to go for walks in their neighbourhood with their class or with their families, all before the May long weekend.

We are appealing to you, your families and your friends to please pledge to your child's walk-a-thon campaign. All contributions will have a DIRECT impact on your child’s educational programs and activities.

This year, funds will go towards continuing to upgrade the playground, including resurfacing and painting the blacktop.

Thank you so much for supporting our students and our school! All gifts will receive a charitable tax receipt. For donations that are not done online, a pledge form and tax receipt request form will be sent home later this week.
